Design, tradition, craftsmanship
AVA finds inspiration in tradition and craftsmanship. Identity, home, permanence. But settled in the past. Together with partners, she finds contemporary interpretations that breathe new life into whats proven to be good.
She creates unique items that unite history and present.
The idea of reclaiming heritage originates from a golden piece of jewellery, worn by proud men in the Swiss region of Appenzell. It's a symbol of belonging, festivity but also of death. It's part of men's traditional costume worn for special occasions. It combines a typical workpiece with the snake that bites its tail and stands for the circle of life itself.
AVA took her hat off and designed two precious version for women. Not more beautiful but particular. May they leave their own marks and live as long as its model.
We are AVA
Born out of the passion for cultural heritage, good design and craftsmanship, AVA is the collective around Stephanie Grubenmann and Caspar Eberhard. Stephanie is the creative mastermind who brings past and present together. Caspar as an experienced entrepreneur is running the business and responsible for its digital interpretation.
Based in Zurich, AVA is always on the search for new interpretations and fruitful collaborations with existing brands. AVA launched in summer 2018.
